Today’s Beer: I celebrated the final day of grape harvest at my family’s vineyard with this Extra Special Bitter from Saltspring Island Ales. I love ESB’s as they usually have more of a balance between hops and malts, which this one really does well. Quite malty it’s organic and brewed with whole cone hops. I picked up this bottle from the source earlier this year. The brewery is in a forest with the tasting room is like a little treehouse up above the brewery. A must-visit if you’re going to Saltspring!
