Twin Sails Big Boy Pants Double IPA

Wore my Big Boy Pants tonight. Thanks to Mike’s Craft Beer for the trade! I love Twin Sails for their creative IPAs and this Double IPA holds its own against ┬ásolid line up. Nice tropical tropical aroma with notes of pineapple and guava. Flavour follows suit, with a nice balance between the hops, malts and a hint of booze from the higher ABV. At 8.7% its a great way to kick off the weekend!

Today’s Beer: November 19

Today’s Beer: had some time to kill in Kelowna and dropped by Kettle River Brewing Co. to try their latest creations. On the left is the Dry-Hopped Saison and the right is the Double IPA. Both are super delicious with bright, citrusy hop profiles. If you’re here make sure to check out their bottles too… They have an amazing barrel program here, I’m going to grab a Barrel-Aged Blonde on my way out!

Today’s Beer: April 15

Today’s Beer: I have officially started a week-long staycation, and figured this 9% ABV Double IPA from Persephone would be a great way to kick it off. Tropical and orchard fruit aroma mingles with a light booziness. The flavour is less aggressive than I was expecting, balancing bitter notes with the alcohol. This is going down quite easy, and aided by my Friday evening thirst I’m glad I’m not going anywhere later!
